6th grade trip to JA BizTown is always one of the highlights of the year! Our students absolutely love the chance to step into real-world roles and bring their classroom learning to life. From understanding how money flows through an economy to practicing real financial skills like using debit cards, making deposits, and managing a budget—this experience is truly hands-on learning at its best. Even more importantly, students build confidence as they learn how to be responsible employees, work as a team, and run their own businesses. It’s amazing to watch them grow throughout the day and begin to see themselves as capable, contributing members of their community. We are so fortunate that AGS can provide this opportunity—it leaves a lasting impact on our students long after we leave BizTown!

Eagles 🤝 Community = the best team around 💙💛 Big THANK YOU to Jeff Woltering & crew!

We had SO much fun last year… we’re ready to do it all again! 🎉 Join us for Family Fun Night on April 17 — we hope to see all our Eagle families there! 💙🦅💛

Preschool registration opens TOMORROW (4/7/26) at 7:45 am -- see you then! ☀️🖍️

Tomorrow is National Schwa Day… so we’re keeping it nice and ə-sy! 😄
Roll out of bed and head to school in your pajamas...because nothing says “relaxed vowel sound” like staying comfy all day! 💙🦅💛

Our 1st graders had a peep-tastic week! 🐣💛
Each student adopted their very own “peep” and learned what it means to be responsible. From keeping them safe to remembering to “check in” daily, these kiddos did such a great job showing kindness and responsibility!
Safe to say… these peeps were in very good hands 🫶🐥

Our paras are the real MVPs around here—jumping in wherever needed, supporting our students, and keeping things running behind the scenes. We are so lucky to have such an amazing group at AGS. We appreciate you more than you know! 🦅💛

👀 Lost & Found is… thriving 😅
At this point, we’ve got enough hoodies to open our own little boutique. If your child has been “missing” a sweatshirt since January… there’s a very good chance it’s living its best life in our lost & found.
Have your student take a quick peek — you might be reunited with that favorite jacket (and maybe a few extras 👀). Anything left behind will be donated after Easter break!

Come claim your stuff, Eagles! 💙🦅💛

Shoutout to our Creative Students of the Month! These kids are always thinking outside the box and coming up with the coolest ideas. They bring so much fun and creativity into our classrooms and we love seeing what they come up with next. Keep being you, Eagles! 💙🦅💛

Congratulations to our 3rd Quarter Honor Roll and High Honor Roll students! We are proud of all the hard work our students put in each day, and it’s great to see that effort pay off. Keep it up as we head into the final quarter of the school year! 👏🏽 🦅

The book fair is in full swing over at AGS! We are here until 6:00 tonight, or visit us Wednesday & Thursday 12-6, or Friday 10-6! 📚

2nd grade had the best time on their field trip to the Science Center yesterday! 🦕 🧪

Please see the flyer for information on the Trenton Torpedoes Swim Team Registration!

🎶 We are incredibly proud of our talented students who performed at the IGSMA Solo and Ensemble Contest this past weekend.
Every single one of these musicians put in hours of hard work and dedication, and it showed! We are thrilled to announce that all of our performers received Ratings of Excellent. 🌟

Let's go Eagles! 🦅 🏐

Congratulations to 8th Grader, Aiden Deien! Aiden was chosen to represent Aviston Elementary at the annual Illinois Principals Association Student Recognition Breakfast. Aiden was selected simply because he chooses to do what is right. He is impressive in meeting the expectations of junior high, models standout character traits - is mature, perceptive and inclusive. Aiden is also a high honor student and an asset to the school's scholar bowl, baseball, cross country, basketball and track teams, always giving his best! 🦅 💙
