We are proud of our Aviston musicians who represented us at the ILMEA District 6 Festival! Led by inspiring clinicians, the junior high band, choir, and orchestra spent the day refining their skills and collaborating with students from across Southern Illinois before presenting three fantastic concerts. 🎶 🎼 Congrats to: • Berkeley Jacob – Treble Choir • Elise Kohnen – Band • Clara Netemeyer – Orchestra

Holiday dress-up is back — cue the cheering (or gentle sighing, we hear you). 😌🎄
This year, you get TWO schedule choices:

✨ 12 Days → festive overachievers, we see you
✨ 5 Days → festive realistically, we see you too
✨ Mix both → festive, but make it customizable

All days are optional… truly. No sweat, no stress, no last-minute store runs unless you want to.

A reminder that tomorrow is the final day of our Food & Toiletries Drive! We are incredibly grateful for the generous amount of toilet paper donated so far. Update: Laundry soap, diapers, and large bags of chips will now count as 5-point items! Let’s finish strong, Eagles! 🦅

Big congratulations to our Lions Club Halloween Poster Contest winners! 🎨✨ We had two winners this year: 🎃 1st Place – Ryder Zobrist 👻 3rd Place – Chloe Rau Great job representing AGS! 💛

Last week, AGS held a Pink Out Day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. Our halls were filled with pink as students and staff showed their support for those affected by breast cancer! 💕

🎶 Congratulations to our ILMEA District Musicians! 🎶 We’re so proud of our talented students who were selected to perform in the ILMEA District Ensembles this year! 👏 Elise Kohnen – Band, Clarinet 👏 Abby Schlicher – Orchestra, Cello 👏 Clara Netemeyer – Orchestra, Violin 👏 Berkeley Jacob – Treble Choir Their hard work, dedication, and passion for music have truly paid off. 🎵💫 Way to represent our school with pride and excellence! 🎻🎤 They recorded auditions and were selected from amongst many musicians from around southern Illinois. They will participate in a festival day of practice and performance at Belleville West on Saturday, November 22nd. Elise is the first from Aviston in many years(20+) that has audtioned and been selected to perform in the band. Way to pave the way for your peers!
