     To earn 5 points,your child may bring in a current event with a written summary from a newspaper, magazine, etc. They may also write a summary of a news story from TV or the radio and present it to the class.

     To earn 5 points, your child may do the problem of the week found by clicking on the math icon.  To earn all points, I must see all work.

        To earn 10 points, your child may conduct an experiment relating to the topic we are discussing at the time.  The experiment may come from the textbook, internet or other resource.

       To earn 10 points, students may write a 5 paragraph essay.  The essay may be persuasive, narrative or expository and they may pick any topic they wish.  There must be an outline or web turned in with the paper to earn all points.

       A written book report given to the class is worth 15 points.The oral presentation must last no longer than 15 minutes and contain a visual aid for the class.  It should be written in complete thoughts and sentences and should summarize the story in sequential fashion.
