Welcome to this school year! I am Linda Webb, the special education teacher for grades 5 through 8. I live in a house in Collinsville with various animals which include two Shih-Tzus, Jasper and Jade, a Pekingese, JeeGee, a white and brown guinea pig, named Truman (I got him on President’s Day one year) and two adopted cats, Jasmine and Yellow Cat. As you can guess, I have a lot to feed before I leave for work in the morning. On the human side, my daughter and her husband have three sons and my son and his wife have two daughters and one son. Everybody keeps me busy! For thirty-two years, I worked for the telephone company in various positions. The last ten years that I worked, I attended SIUE part time working towards my degree in Special Education. Finally, in 2001 I graduated and began teaching in Hillsboro, Illinois in 2002. After four years I left Hillsboro to take this position in Aviston. I love this vocation and I love these students. It is my goal to help all the students reach their goals. The joy is finding out how to do that.
