Extra Credit

Reading

A student will receive two additional points to their final reading score if they chose to complete a book report.  It must be typed and in the correct format.

Science

A student will receive two additional points to their final science score if they chose to perform a science experiment in front of the class.  The experiment has to cover a topic we are currently studying.  The experiment also has to be approved by Mrs. Strake prior to experiment day.  The presenter should be knowledgeable about the experiment and should be able to explain the results. 

English

A student may choose one of the following activities to earn two points to their final English score:

1.  Write a two page creative writing story

2.  Create three descriptive paragraphs about a subject without telling what it is

or

3. Write and illustrate three haikus or similar poems

There is no extra credit for spelling.
