Coaches:
The 2012 program will be led by head coach Jason Rakers along with assistants Marvin Eversgerd and Brad Drewes. Travis Gebke and Mark Beckmann will continue leading the staff as the freshman and junior varsity coaches.  Matt Howes and Jon Batchelor were added to the staff in 2012 to help in different levels for the entire program.


With an enrollment around 500 students, plus the multiplier, Mater Dei High School competes at the 3A level of competition in the IHSA. Mater Dei athletics have had a long tradition of winning since the school was created in 1954. The baseball diamond has been home to numerous great athletes. Numerous players from Mater Dei have gone on to play at the collegiate and professional level. This is a tradition that head coach Jason Rakers will hold on to. Nothing is more important to him than sending players on to the collegiate level where they can grow intellectually and athletically.
