The seventh graders will begin the year by starting my inquiry-based learning curriculum. They will study animal classification beginning with invertebrates and moving to vertebrates. After we finish those two units, we will move to the new textbooks and study cells, genetics, microscopic organisms, and plants.
The two textbooks that the 7th graders will be using this year are listed below. After each book is an Internet site where students can access their book online. These sites will also have tutorials, self-check quizzes, and many other features. To access their textbooks, students will need an access code. They were given these in class.

After the 7th graders finish these two books, we will continue again with my inquiry-based learning units on the computers.
